This policy explains how Vikaranet (Pty) Ltd (“Vikaranet”, “we”) handles information in the Starlane Planetarium app for Android.

What the app does

Starlane Planetarium is a 3D space explorer that lets you fly through space, visit the planets and explore galaxies.

Information the app handles

• App settings and progress: your graphics and display settings and where you have explored.
• Purchase information: the app is free to download with a one-time in-app unlock. Google Play handles the payment and tells us whether the unlock is active. We do not see your card details.

What we do not do

• The app does not require an account.
• We do not sell your information.

How we use information

We use the information above only to make the app work, to provide purchases and subscriptions you ask for, to respond to your support requests, and to keep the app secure and working properly.

Third parties

• Google Play processes the one-time unlock.

Google Play may also give us aggregated information about crashes and performance so we can fix problems. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for marketing.

Where your data is stored and how we protect it

Your settings and progress are stored on your device. We do not receive a copy of them. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information we handle, but no system is completely secure.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

Your rights and deleting your data

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Data stored only on your device can be deleted by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app. To make a request about anything we hold, email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. We handle personal information in line with applicable Botswana data protection law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a material change, we will update this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.
